Lotrscak
Lotrscak is the best preserved tower of the city defense system, and its viewing platform offers a splendid view of Zagreb and the surrounding areas. The tower was erected in the 13th century, and the name Lotršćak was given due to the fact that it contained a bell, “campana latrunculorum” – bell of thieves. It was rung each evening, prior to the closing of the city gates. Today, the bell is no longer there, but everyday at precisely noon, the Grič Cannon is fired from this spot.
