On 8-9 November 2011 Croatian Chargé d'Affaires Vice Skračić led a delegation on an official visit to Minnesota. On that occasion he presented the Governor of Minnesota Mark Dayton with a plaque from the Croatian Minister of Defense on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of cooperation between Croatia’s Defense Forces and the Minnesota National Guard as a part of the American “State Partnership” program. Besides Croatia, the Minnesota National Guard also has partnership relations with Norway. At the meeting with Governor Dayton and the Commander of the Minnesota National Guard General Rick Nash the two sides underscored their mutual interest and commitment to the vision that this special relationship has cultivated, especially through an upgrade in military cooperation and strengthened cooperation in the civilian sphere. Also, the Croatian delegation had meetings with representatives of the Trade Office of Minnesota.
